The committee members from the MPKs of Kg Pekan Muara, Kg Sabun and Kg Pelumpong yesterday attended a meeting chaired by Pg Hj Mohamed Pg Hj Ismail @ Pg Othman, village head of Kg Masjid Lama, Muara. Also present was Major (R) Hj Johari Hj Abd Razak, the Penghulu of Mukim Serasa.
After a group photo, the meeting proceeded to discuss several agendas. Topping the agenda was the campaign to clean up and beautify Pekan Muara, including the areas of the shopping premises.

The chairman then stressed that all MPK committee members should be pro-active with communal activities and be responsible for environmental cleanliness. He later opened the discussion to listen to feedbacks and reports of other related issues arising from the meeting from other committee members.

The intended cleaning campaign will also involved the Brunei-Muara District Office, the Fire and Rescue Department, the RBPF from Muara station, the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, shop-owners and business operators, the MPK committee members and also village residents.
