Thirteen male students from 13 primary schools in Tutong District participated in ‘Azan Subuh serta doanya’ competition and 13 female students participated in ‘Ayat-Ayat Lazim’ recital competition yesterday. The event was held at Panchong Primary School’s multi-purpose hall and the guest of honour was Abdul Kani bin Abdullah, Acting Assistant Director, Department of Schools for Primary Education, Ministry of Education.
A male and a female student were chosen to represent their school.
It was one of the annual events to enhance Islamic education among students. Ahmad Syahmi Salim from Tumpuan Telisai Primary School won the “Azan Subuh” competition while Siti Raudhatul Bahriyah Haji Roslan from Bukit Beruang Primary School won first place in “Ayat-Ayat Lazim” recital competition.
