In conjunction with Energy Week 2010 organised by the Petroleum Unit of the Energy Division, Prime Minister’s Office, GHK Motors Sdn Bhd has brought in a ‘green’ vehicle straight from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) Japan.
Although Energy Week will only commence tomorrow, the Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle (i-MiEV) was already put on display yesterday at the Atrium of The Mall in Gadong, and will continue to be displayed until May 26.
The i-MiEV will then relocate to Manggis Mall in Jalan Muara, the venue of the Energy Forum that will carry the theme “Energy Efficiency in Transportation: An Integrated Solution”.
On hand to describe the special features of the i-MiEV at the display venues is a technical instructor from GHK who had been sent to Japan for i-MiEV training. The instructor will also be present throughout the display hours.
Meanwhile GHK has also invited Mr Kenichiro Wada, a senior expert on electric vehicles from MMC to give a talk at the forum. GHK Motors said it supports the need for energy conservation in Brunei and hopes the i-MiEV display and the talk will encourage Brunei drivers to consider cleaner alternatives to fossil fuels.
