Twenty-four students from Al-Quran and Muqadam Jame ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque class recently participated in the Menghafaz Surah and selected prayers contest organised by Masjid Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
The day saw Mukim Penghulu of Gadong cum guest of honour Major (B) Haji Abu Bakar bin Sapar presenting prizes to the winners.
The competition was split into four categories – Students in the religious guidance class, students aged 6 – 9 years, students aged 10 – 12 years, and students aged 13 – 17 years.
The contest was one of the many mosque activities held to familarise students with the al-Quran.
