THREE newborn babies delivered at Suri Seri Begawan Hospital on May 31 received gifts yesterday morning to commemorate the Royal Brunei Armed Forces 49th Anniversary which falls on that day.
Three babies born between lam and 12pm on May 31 were presented special gifts from RBAF and RBAF Wives’ Association BAKTI in the form of hampers, a $50 Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIDB) voucher and a $100 Si Manja savings account.
The first recipient was Dyg Sarimah Abdullah who gave birth to a baby boy weighing at 3.45kg, while Dyg Norhayati Sadim was the second recipient after safely delivering a baby girl weighing at 3.63 kg. The third recipient was Dyg Salvia Anak Rekan who gave birth to a baby girl weighing at 2.56 kg.
Present at the hospital to hand over the gifts was the wife of RBAF Commander at RBAF Training Institute, Dyg Juliana bte Basman.
The annual RBAF event held for the third time in Belait District was to instil the spirit of patriotism among families of the newborns and also to remind them the significance of their birth date, which falls on a special day for Brunei.
