Thirty students from Parkview Primary School in Singapore had their first experience in paddy planting at Wasan during an educational visit hosted by Asia Enterprise.
The visit was organised by Pan Bright Travel Service to let the students and teachers experience paddy planting and harvesting, which are important economic activities in Brunei.
The students were briefed by Mr Chai Yum Fatt, General Manager of the Agri-mart, who took them around the paddy fields and answered their queries.
Students learned about the rice production process and saw the machines such as tractors used for rice farming.
The students also viewed the rice packing process.
