The Berakas branch of the Bakti Dewa School held a garage sale yesterday, which took place at the school’s premises between 7.30am and 4pm.
The garage sale saw the participation of around 10 people and was held for the purpose of enhancing the ties between the school’s management, parents-teachers association and members of the public.
Some of the items on sale included shirts, shorts, trousers, sandals, shoes, souvenirs, CDs, DVDs, food and beverages. All the items on sale were going for between one and three dollars. Most of the participants agreed that the garage sale was “quite interesting” and appreciated the school’s initiative to foster better ties with parents of students and the public.
Present during the garage sale were the Acting Principal, Madam Chin and Dr Hajah Mariam, who took the opportunity to get better acquainted with the participants.
