The chairman of IET, who is also chairman of the conference Pg Hj Md Zain Pg Hj Abd Razak announced this during a press conference yesterday afternoon at its headquarters in Anggerek Desa.

“This year’s theme, ‘Green Technology for Sustainable Global Development’ signifies the persistent efforts of the IET Brunei Darussalam in promoting advancement in engineering and technology while cultivating a culture of professionalism amongst engineers,” he said.

However he cautioned that while engineering and technology play a key role in national development, they can also bring adverse impacts to the natural environment and resources.
