The Belait District recently marked Energy Day at Taman Persiaran with a fair that was officiated by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Energy) at Prime Minister’s Office Haji Ismail bin Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Setia Dato Paduka Haji Hashim in his capacity as guest of honour.
Stickers carrying the message ‘Hargai tenaga kitani’ and mouse pads with ‘Value our precious energy’ written across them were distributed to visitors, reminding them of the need to conserve energy.
The government has taken various steps in sending out the message on the importance of energy conservation. Tips on how to do so include increasing the temperature of the air-conditioner and switching off electrical appliance when not in use.
