Brunei’s paragliding couple will be representing the country in the World Paragliding championship in Batu, Indonesia.
Junaidi and Siti Khadijah will be joining 200 international participants in the championship. This is the first time they will obtain a World Cup ranking.
Junaidi said they have trained hard, and bought new equipment that they hope will give them an advantage. However, he said most of the participants in the World Cup championship are seasoned pros and are ranked among the best in the world.
Junaidi said he and his wife are proud to represent Brunei Darussalam for the first time in the Paragliding World Cup Championship. They have enjoyed international success in past paragliding festivals in Malaysia and Indonesia, where they competed against regional paragliders.
Siti Khadijah said it is an honour just to compete in the World Cup, where they will be able to gain valuable experience.
