In light of the current school holidays, some 100 umrah pilgrims have arrived in Medinah to perform their spiritual rites.
Led by Titian Travel and Tours Branch General Manager, Hj Ismail bin Hj Sulaiman, the group travelled directly to Medinah via Saudi Airlines.
“I feel blessed, this is the first time I’ve stepped foot in the holy city and it amazes me. All the stories I’ve heard about this place do not do it justice,” said a first-time pilgrim.
The first thing visitors do when they arrive in the holy city is pay their respects to the last Prophet of Islam, and the early Muslims of his time.
“It’s wonderful to see thousands of people gathering in one place to pray. I’ve never experienced something like this,” another pilgrim said.
Meanwhile, Pg Hj Suhaili bin Pg Hj Tengah, one of the officers from Titian Travel and Tours Branch said that it is important to be pious and humble when performing prayers especially when seeking blessings and forgiveness.
Obtaining spiritual bliss is a journey we all seek. One of the best ways to obtain it is to visit and pray in the holiest of cities in the world, where millions of Muslims congregate throughout the year.
