THE second round of HECAS 2010 online application for the academic session 2010/2011 to local Higher Education Institution, ie Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali and Institut Teknologi Brunei and for the Brunei Government overseas scholarship will commence on August 9 at 7.45am, a press release stated.
For this second round, the local Higher Education Institutions and Scholarship Section, Ministry of Education are offering Higher National Diploma and First Degree programmes. The closing date for submission of online is set at three working days after the announcement of GCE A’ Level June result. This date will be announced later in the HECAS website.

Interested applicants can also visit the designated HECAS sites for the registration process and meet with the career guidance officer of these schools for further assistance. In Brunei-Muara District, applicants can go to Maktab Duli Pg Muda AlMuhtadee Billah while those in Temburong District can go to Sultan Hassan Secondary School.
Applicants in the Belait District can meet with the career guidance officers at the Sayyidina Ali Secondary School and those in Tutong District can go straight to Sayyidina Othman Secondary School.
Applicants who wish to apply for postgraduate, Master or PhD programmes offered by local Higher Education Institution can go directly to the admission office of the respective Higher Education Institutions to obtain the prescribed application forms.
As for overseas scholarship for Master or PhD programmes, applicants can obtain the application form from the Scholarship Section, Block C of the Ministry of Education.
The HECAS 2010 online application is only for citizens and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam.
Foreign applicants who wish to apply to these programmes can contact the Admission Office of the respective Higher Education Institutions to obtain the application forms.
