Curious about reptiles? Then head to the House of Snakes at the Brunei Edutainment Wonderland held at the parking lot of the Riverview Hotel in Gadong.
For $3, visitors can view snakes and lizards at the booth.
People can also ask the handlers for permission to hold and take photos with the reptiles.
A group of reptile handlers and breeders set up the booth to raise awareness of reptiles.
On display are rare species of snakes, including pythons found only in Brazil and local snakes.
The favourites among visitors are the albino pythons and ball pythons but also on display are cornsnakes and milksnakes.
Several lizards such as Bearded Dragons and iguanas as well as frogs and scorpions are also on display.
Comments by the public were positive after the handlers explained that the reptiles are like other pets that need love and care.
“The snakes were really tame and I liked holding them,” said Waty Karim.
“It’s really safe to touch and hold (the reptiles), and they’re as tame as a kitten,” said Hasrin HB, who said he plans to get a pet snake.
